Cheryl Y. Judice is the author of two books on the topic of interracial relationships. Her new book, Interracial Relationships Between Black Women and White Men, (Bookbaby Publishers, 2018) written for the general public, explores the lives of black women who are dating, married to, or divorced from white men. Sixty interviews were conducted for this study, 40 of which are included in this very readable book. Notably, this book includes five separate interviews with white men on why they prefer to date and marry black women, one of the first explorations on this topic.
Her first book, Interracial Marriages Between Black Women and White Men, (Cambria Press 2008) is the first academic text published on the experiences of black women in interracial marriages. Using data gathered from 50 in-depth personal interviews: 30 black women married to white men and 20 black men married to white women, she compares and contrasts the social experiences of couples in these relationships.
